Product Review: Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter

This one is way pass due...lol!

Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter

Cost: $16.99 (www.camillerosenaturals.com) or (Target)
Size: 8 oz
Scent: Sweet & Pleasant (Cake)
Consistency: Thick, rich and creamy

What They Say:
Our botanical blend of oils and butters will aid in managing course/thick hair, leaving a soft and smoother feel. Softens and moisturizes hair while nourishing the scalp and stimulating growth.

BEST TWISTING BUTTER EVER! ACHIEVE  THE ULTIMATE SOFT FULLY TWIST OUT WITH A COMBINATION OF ALMOND MILK, ALMOND OIL, JOJOBA, HEMP AND A DRIZZLE OF HONEY. YOUR STYLE WILL BE ELONGATED, SILKY AND HELD IN PLACE!

What I Say:
I have been using this product on and off for over a year now (typical PJ) but this twisting butter is the truth.com and I have tried a lot of butters/creams, lol.  I have tried this product a couple different ways and found that I like it best on dry hair although it also works well on damp hair.  Unlike other twisting butters I have used, there is no need to spritz water to the hair first which is a BIG deal especially after stretching the hair.  The consistency of the product is very light and goes on very smooth and even helps detangle the hair.  It is packed with oils and penetrates the hair very nicely, leaving the hair very moisturized and supple! This twisting butter doesn't give any hold but that's not an issue for us.  It is an excellent twisting butter and I definitely recommend trying it, it can also be used as a leave-in.  The bonus for me: you can get this on the ground at Target!

Ingredients:
Deionized water, behentrimonium methosulfate (BTMS)cetearyl alcohol, prunus dulcis(almond milk), prunusdulcis (almond)oil, cucurbita pepo(pumpkin)seed oil, sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil, simmondsia chinensis(jojoba) seed oil, oryza sativa (rice)bran oil, macadamia ternifolia (macadamia nut)seed oil, olea europaea (olive)fruit oil, cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil, ulmus fulva bark extract (slippery elm), ricinus communis(castor)seed oil, aloe barbadensis(aloe)leaf juice< honey, camellia sinensis(green tea)leaf extract, phenoxyethanol/caprylyl glycol(optiphen). sorbic acid, scent and LOVE!

Product Review: Luv Naturals

Luv Naturals "Wash Me Gently"Hair & Scalp Cleanser

Cost: $13.00 (www.luvnaturals.com
Size: 8 oz.
Scent: Peppermint/Tea Tree
Consistency: Rich & Creamy

What They Say:
Gently and effectively cleanses hair & scalp of mild to moderate build-up
pH balanced (5.0 - 6.0 pH) to encourage the hair's cuticles to close which:
Helps to minimize hair strands from swelling during wash
Helps to prevent hair from feeling "stripped" of surface oils.

Naturally derived and organic ingredients
No artificial fragrances
No artificial colors
Food grade preservatives
Shelf life is 1 year from purchase date

What I Say:
I was excited to try this shampoo after seeing her video tutorial.  I can't say that I was blown away, it was okay, I mean after all it is a shampoo.  It had good slip and the hair did feel clean without feeling stripped and moisturized but I need a shampoo that lathers and the lather I saw in the video I did not get on my daughter's hair.  Its not a bad shampoo but its not something I will re-purchase.

Ingredients:
Aqua, Cocoamidopropyl Betaine, Decyl Glucoside, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Oil, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Organic Oil, Prunus armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Glucono Delta Lactone, Sodium Benzoate, Calcium Gluconate, Mentha piperita (Peppermint, Triple Distilled) Essential Oil, Melaleuca alternifolia (Tea Tree) Essential Oil

**** I give this product a 4 out of 5 Baby Curls****

Luv Naturals "Don't Be So Clingy" Hair Detangler
Cost: $13.00 (www.luvnaturals.com)
Size: 8 oz.
Scent: Orange
Consistency: Rich & Creamy

What They Say:
Helps to release knots, tangles and shed hairs (which help to prevent hair breakage)
pH balanced to help reduce breakage caused by clingy hair (4.5 - 6.0 pH)

Naturally derived and organic ingredients
No artificial fragrances
No artificial colors
Food grade preservatives
Shelf life is 1 year from purchase date

What I Say:
I like this a lot!  The slip is crazy good.  I spritz the hair first and then applied this product and the knots literally melted away.  I was actually able to successfully finger detangle (I still used my trusty detangling comb though!).  The more water used, the less product you have to use.  This product can also be used as a pre-shampoo; the directions does call for it to be rinsed out, so it cannot be used after washing which is fine with me because I have always detangled before washing so this is right up my alley.  The question for some may be does this work better than regular cheap conditioner...I think it may be a little better because it releases the knots effortlessly. However, the product can get expensive when you include shipping.  I have always used a detangling cocktail to detangle the girls hair, so I have substituted this product in place of the usual conditioner and love it even more plus I get more use of the product and don't have to purchase as often.  I will definitely re-purchase.

Ingredients:
Aloe barbadensis (Organic Aloe) Juice, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Cetearyl Alcohol, Citrus sinensis (Orange, Sweet) Essential Oil, Ulmus fulva (Slippery Elm) Extract, Kosher Vegetable Glycerin, Mangifera indica (Mango) Butter, Corylus avellana (Hazelnut) Oil, Olea europaea (Organic Olive) Extra Virgin Oil, Helianthus annuus (Sunflower) Oil, Cocos nucifera (Coconut) Organic Oil, Brassica oleracea italica (Broccoli) Seed Oil, Acrylic Polymers, Glucono Delta Lactone, Sodium Benzoate, Calcium Gluconate, Mica

Product Review: Oyin Hair Dew

Oyin Hair Dew

Cost: $13.00 (www.oyinhandmade.com) or (www.curlmart.com)
Size: 8 oz.
Scent: Sweet like Dessert
Consistency: Rich Creamy & Thick (lotion)

What They Say:
This creamy, conditioning leave-in is light enough for every day. It's great on 'naked' hair immediately after a cleanse, or as a way to reinvigorate tired hair all the way through your hair care cycle.

Looking for a product to wake up and moisturize your second-day hair? Looking for a way to make your hair pliable enough to re-style without a full rinse? Just want to refresh your coils and curls and give them a shot of moisture before sealing? This leave-in is your answer! Plays well with other Oyin leave-ins and stylers.

What I Say:
First of all, the smell is amazing!  I've used this product as a leave-in and moisturizer yielding good results both ways.  It leaves the hair looking healthy and shiny.  It doesn't provide much slip as a leave-in.  It also absorbs nicely and provides softness and moisture but the moisture isn't lasting for my daughters' Type 4 hair. This product is also very light.

Ingredients:
Purified water, castor oil, olive oil, organic aloe vera gel, behentrimonium methosulfate (emulsifier), coconut oil, olive squalane, optiphen (preservative), cetyl alcohol, fragrance, and love!

Product Review: Jessicurl Deep Conditioning Treatment

JessiCurl Deep Conditioning Treatment

Cost: $16.95 (www.jessicurl.com) or (www.curlmart.com)
Size: 8 oz.
Scent: No Fragrance (Available in 3 scents, I opted for no fragrance)
Consistency: Rich Creamy & Thick

What They Say:
...It used to be called “Weekly Deep Conditioning Treatment” but then I heard from more and more curlies that they were using it every day, and some were even using it as a leave in. Who am I to limit how much you use your favorite conditioner, right? Thus, I dropped “Weekly” and just left it at Deep Conditioning Treatment. It’s thick, it’s rich, it’s moisturizing, it doesn’t build up – it really is the ideal formula for restoring moisture to dry curly hair. It also works great as a shaving cream – that even includes bald men! :)

Deep conditioning treatments with heat really moisturize and strengthen the hair, and they're just plain fun to do. This treatment works best with a plastic cap and left on for 20 minutes. This thick conditioner uses cocoa butter and shea butter to add some serious moisture to your hair. Great for all Hair Types!

What I Say:
OMG, this is one of the best moisturizing deep conditioners I have used, I love this stuff!  It made BG "S" hair super soft and so easy to detangle, it pretty much melted the tangles away and for Type 4 hair that is everything!  I used this deep conditioner on pre-cleansed hair (before washing but after spraying with a little ACV mixed with water) and placed a bag & cap on it for about 60 minutes. The hair felt very conditioned after removing the bag & cap and more importantly after rinsing.  It penetrated the hair nicely and provided some much needed moisture and softness. I believe I have found our staple moisturizing deep conditioner and I will be ordering more (with a fragrance).  I definitely say give it a try if you are searching for a moisturizing deep conditioner.

Ingredients: (NEW 7/9/12)
Water (Aqua) infused with Equisetum Maximum Lam (Horsetail), Mentha Piperita (Peppermint), Rosmarinus Officinalis (Rosemary), Laurus Nobilis (Bay Leaf), Ocimum Basilicum (Basil), Arctium Lappa (Burdock Root), Althaea Officinalis (Marshmallow Root), Origanum Vulgare (Oregano), Cymbopogon Flexuosus (Lemongrass), Thymus Vulgaris (Thyme), Salvia Officinalis (Sage) and Urtica Dioica (Nettle); Behentrimonium Methosulfate (and) Cetearyl Alcohol, Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Juice, Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter), Persea Gratissima (Avocado) Oil, Theobroma Cacao (Cocoa) Seed Butter, Soy Lecithin, Diazolidinyl Urea (and) Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate

Deep Conditioning w/ JessiCurl DCT

  1. The hair have been deep conditioning for about an hour and a half
  2. The hair after removing the cap & bag
  3. The hair after removing the cap & bag (the curls were clumping together)
  4. The hair was very soft & manageable, so I detangled the hair and plaited for washing
  5. The hair was very moisturized and shiny after washing

Product Review: Qhemet Biologics Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter

Qhemet Biologics Aethiopika Hydrate & Twist Butter

Cost: $14.00 (www.qhemetbiologics.com)
Size: 5 oz.
Scent: Light Mango Scent
Consistency: Rich & Thick

What They Say:
Use this thick, rich butter to soften and maintain twists, braids and loose hair! Ideal for dry, highly porous hair! Use as a body butter too!

Softens thick, extra dry hair with an ultra rich blend of Pure Olive Oil, Mango Butter and Rice Bran Oil! A touch of plant wax helps reduce frizz and smooths edges and soy extract adds humectancy. Use sparingly. A little goes a long way.

What I Say:
This butter is amazing and smells really good.  I've used this product on and off since last July.  Its no surprise that I really enjoy QB products and this is NO exception!  This butter is very soft despite the initial appearance and it spreads very well in the hair.  It adds shine and moisture.  I get great results using this butter on damp and  dry hair (The Beginning of BG "S" Loc Journey).  This product is great for twists and gives excellent definition for twist outs.  It leaves the hair super soft and bouncy.  Although its only 5 oz., a little really does go along way, I still have my container from last year.  *Bonus: It doubles as a body butter!

What I Say:

This styling cream is the bomb.com!  It is very moisturizing which is a big deal for us, it also keeps the frizzies at bay like no ones business, lol.  It also provides a nice hold.  I have used this product to twists, cornrow and maintain locs.  The definition after taking down twists is unbelievable and I had the best set of cornrows ever! I was surprised at the outcome after using it to maintain locs, BG "S" locs turned out very neat and soft.  You can go days without re-moisturizing with this product.

What I Say:

This product appears to be a lighter version of Happy Nappy Styles.  Although it doesn't provide the hold that HNS provide, it did an excellent job at moisturizing and providing shine to the hair.   The hair was also full of bounce and body....oh and frizz free!  Pictures HERE.

Ingredients:
Aloe and Chamomile Water, Rice Bran Oil, Shea Butter, Natural Conditioner, Vegetable Glycerin, Polysorbate 20, Soy Lecithin, Capryl Isostearate, Guar Gum, Natural Preservative, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Silk Powder

Blended Beauty Jelly Cream
Cost: $19.00  (www.blendedbeauty.com/)
Size: 8 oz
Scent: Sweet & Pleasant (Cake)
Consistency: Thick Lotion

What They Say:
A soft hold moisturizing gel lotion that defines and conditions curls, while nourishing the scalp and hair. Smooth and define each curl with natural conditioners. Absolutely no plastics! Only silky and bouncy curls...naturally! Jelly Cream has twice as much hold as the Down & Out creams.

What I Say:

This product certainly defined and conditioned the hair.  It laid down and smooth the hair but didn't provide much hold.  The hair also felt very smooth like "silk" and left the hair frizz free.  I can still feel the product on the hair after re-spritzing with water (I'm not sure how much I like that...). Although it worked well on my niece's hair type, I don't have much use for this product on my daughters' hair type.

Ingredients:
Aloe and Chamomile Water, Shea Butter, Vegetable Glycerin, Rice Bran Oil, Capryl Isostearate, Natural Conditioner, Soy Lecithin, Guar Gum, Natural Preservative Optiphin, Rosemary Leaf Extract, Silk Powder

Product Review: Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Restorative

Shea Moisture Organic Raw Shea Butter Restorative Conditioner

What I Say:
This is another oldie but goodie so I decided to finally doing a review!  This is also one of the first products I used when I started BG "S" healthy hair journey.  I have never tried this product as a rinse out but absolutely LOVE it as a leave-in.  I first tried this product with the KimmayTube Leave-In Recipe and I liked it a lot and then I decided to try it alone and liked it as well! It does a great job at moisturizing and detangling the hair.   It leaves the hair manageable and super soft.  Although it is a thick conditioner, it doesn't weigh the hair down at all.  I believe it works best on thick, dry hair.  This product never stays in stock at my local Target, it is very popular and one of the best leave-in conditioners out there.

Product Review: Shea Moisture Organic Yucca & Baobab Anti-Breakage Masque

Shea Moisture Organic Yucca & Baobab Anti-Breakage Masque
Cost: $9.99 (Target/Walgreens)

What I Say:
I enjoy this masque as a deep conditioner.  It has a nice creamy, thick texture.  I have used it on dry and wet hair and liked the results of both. It leaves the hair soft, manageable and feeling healthy & strong.  It does not provide much slip for detangling which I don't mind because I detangle prior to using.  BG "S" does not have thin or fine hair (she has thick, coarse hair) but I like this masque for her hair especially since it has both biotin and vegetable protein in it. (I typically stay away from products with protein for BG "S" but to my surprise this product doesn't make her hair hard.)  Oh and I absolutely love the smell!

What They Say: This new lightweight, silicone-free conditioner uses natural ingredients to hydrate hair, giving you the moisture you need and the natural benefits you love.

What I Say:  OMG...where have you been hiding?!  When looking for a conditioner I want something that certainly provides moisture as well as softens the hair after rinsing the product out.  This product does just that, this stuff is great!  The ingredients are nice.  It has great slip, detangles nicely and softens immediately...and the way it moisturizes is like wow! I was so impressed, I went to the store and bought another bottle after using it for the first time just because I'm afraid they'll switch up the ingredients.  The cost is amazing, so this is definitely going to give my favorite Curls Coconut Sublime Conditioner a run for its money (literally).  I will be using this conditioner to Co-Wash.  LOVE IT!

This is the old packaging
Size: 2.5 oz
Scent: Citrus/ Orange
Consistency: Thick Oil

What They Say: Contains 100% pure Castor and Moringa Oils. Moringa Oil is a highly valued emollient used in African and Indian hair and skin care traditions for over 2000 years. Moringa seed oil is rich in fatty acids, vitamins A and C and copper and calcium, important nutrients for the skin and scalp. It is also an excellent pre-wash hair conditioner as it naturally possesses cleansing and nourishing proprieties. African Castor Oil has been found in ancient Egyptian tombs dating back to 4000 B.C. The castor bean plant is native to the Ethiopian region of tropical East Africa. This thick, shiny oil acts as a barrier agent and protective medium against harsh conditions and extremes. It is a natural humectant and possesses hair conditioning, thickening and softening properties. Protects ends and moisturizes dry, brittle and coarse hair.

What I Say:  I don't know what it is about this oil but it makes the hair super soft.  It has multiple uses which is always a plus.  I applied this serum to freshly washed hair and was amazed at the results which I didn't expect because I was thinking its just an oil...boy was I wrong!  I will continue using this oil as a sealant and leave in treatment. Another great product.

What I Say:  This one is my FAVORITE!  This stuff is awesome!  If your hair desires moisture, this is for you.  It makes the hair so soft and it is very moisturizing, the hair stays moisturized for a few days without reapplying.  I didn't like it on dry hair but it is A-mazing on damp/wet hair.  I have used this product as a leave-in, moisturizer and styler and it is by far one of the best products I have ever used in BG "S" dry hair!  There is also a lighter version of this cream called Burdock Root Butter Cream.  Staple product for sure!  Update: 7/12- I recently mixed this product with the QB Olive & Honey Hydrating Balm and fell in LOVE!  I have officially found my styling aid for twists, twist-outs, etc.

Ingredients: Our ultra thick cream contains Amla, Brahmi and African Aloe, premium Afro-Indian botanicals used for thousands of years to nourish the scalp and strengthen and condition hair. MSM sulfur nurtures follicles and encourages healthy hair growth, Mediterranean Olive Oil delivers emollience and lubricity while Vegetable Glycerin and pure African Castor Oil lends sheen, softness and intense moisture.  Does not contain mineral oil, lanolin, proteins, silicones, artificial fragrances, dyes or parabens.

Product Review: Beautiful Textures

Beautiful Textures Rapid Repair Deep Conditoner
Cost: $6.19 (Sally Beauty)
Size: 15 oz
Scent: Fruity Scent

What They Say: Get Gorgeous Tresses!  Dryness and breakage prevent healthy looking hair growth. What I Say:  This deep conditioner has a creamy consitency that has good slip.  I applied this to BGM's hair who has 4a hair after shampooing and placed a shower cap on it for approximately 30 mins.  I must say I was really impressed.  It left the hair super soft and moisturized.  I will continue using this as a deep conditioner for BGM's hair, at least for now.

Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Creme

Cost: $6.19 (Sally Beauty)
Size: 8 oz
Scent: Fruity Scent

What They Say: Get Gorgeous Tresses!   Dry, brittle, thirsty hair stunts natural growth. To help ensure locks reach their full growth potential, refresh and hydrate your mixed textured hair every day with Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Creme.   Beautiful Textures Moisture Butter Whipped Curl Creme helps maximize the styling options of mixed textured hair by helping achieve softer, more defined curls, healthier looking elongated coils, or simply silky-smooth hydrated hair.

What I Say:  This moisture butter can be used as a styling creme and moisturizer.  It has a light creamy, fluffy consistency. I applied this to BGM's two strand twist before untwisting for a twist-out style.  It added shine and moisture to BGM's 4a fine strands hair but dried out BGS's 4b coarse strands.  I probably won't repurchase this product because I don't have a need for this product for BGM'S hair regimen.  It does have a -cone in it so I will be paying close attention for possible build-up when using it.

Product Review: Elasta QP DPR

Elasta QP DPR-11 (Deep Penetrating Remoisturizer)

Cost: $7.49 (Beauty Supply Store)
Size: 16 oz
Scent: Fruity Peach Scent
Old Ingredients (This is the one I'm reviewing! Not to be confused with the one below.)

New Formulated (Haven't tried this one yet.)

What They Say: 11 plant extracts, essential oils and vitamins penetrate hair shaft.  Moisturizing emollients renew moisture depleted hair , giving strength and elasticity, peach blossom oil and vitamin e soothe the scalp.

What I Say:  I applied this to dry hair and noticed a difference immediately!  Very moisturizing.  To my  surprise it gave a good "slip" which made it really easy to comb and detangle the hair.  It is very thick which is perfect for BGS coarse hair.  It made the hair super soft and tangle free.  I will definitely continue to use this product and hope I can find it again since there is a new formula. I decided to use this DC during the winter months since it does a really good job at moisturizing.  Since it has dimethicone & petroleum in the ingredient list, I won't make it my staple DC but I'll definitely still use it since those two ingredients are near the bottom.

Ingredients:  Chamomilla Recutita (Matricaria) Extract, Urtica Dioica (Nettle) Extract, Melissa Officinalis (Balm Mint) Leaf Oil, Tussilago Farfara (Coltsfoot) Flower Extract, Equisetum Arvense Extract, Aesculus Hippocasyanum (Horse Chestnut) Extract, Rosemarinus Officinalis (Rosemary) Leaf Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf Extract in Purified Water/Aqua, Petrolatum, Cetyle Alcohol, Centrimonium Chloride, Dimethicone, Tocopheryl Acetate, Hydroxypropyl trimonium Chloride, Laurus Nobblis Oil, Citrus Aurantium Dulcis (Orange) Oil, Neroli Oil, Ribes Nigrum (Black Currant)

Here are a few pics:

Cara B Leave-in Conditioner/ Daily Moisturizer
Cost: $9.99 (Target/CVS)
Size: 8 oz
Scent: Very Light Sweet Floral

What They Say: Gently condition and moisturize your child’s hair without any oily residue. Our all-natural Leave-In Conditioner / Daily Moisturizer is designed for use immediately after shampooing to improve manageability, and for use every day as a light, non-greasy, and gentle moisturizer. Jojoba oil and shea butter leave hair feeling noticeably soft.
What I Say:  This is a rich and creamy conditioner.  It is very moisturizing but doesn't offer much slip.   However, it does wonders if you use it with the Cara B Moisturizing Hair Mist. I prefer to use it as a moisturizer vs using it as a leave-in (doesn't do much as a leave-in for us).  It is very water based so as a moisturizer it will cause shrinkage on stretched hair.  I use this moisturizer when styling in two-strand twists.

Ingredients:
 D
eionized water; vegetable glycerin; coconut oil (capric triglyceride); sweet almond oil; jojoba oil; sugar (glucose); natural chamomile fragrance blend; aloe vera barbadensis leaf juice; vitamin E; potassium sorbate; glucose oxidase & lactoperoxidase (natural preservative); citric acid

What They Say: Improve manageability and impart a light shine to your child's hair with our all-natural Moisturizing Hair Mist. Jojoba oil increases moisture, while sweet almond oil leaves behind a light, healthy shine without any greasy residue.
What I Say:
This one is my absolute favorite!  It provides good slip and is an amazing moisturizer.  I use this daily sometimes twice a day.  It definitely adds definition to your curls!  Its
makes it so much easier to comb and detangle if you apply to the hair before applying a leave-in.  The consistency is light so it doesn't weigh down the hair. It leaves the hair moisturized and it adds a nice shine.

Product Review: Darcy's Botanicals Madagascar Vanilla Styling Creme

Darcy's Botanicals Madagascar Vanilla Styling Creme

Cost: $12.00 (www.darcysbotanicals.com)
Size: 8 oz
Scent: Very Light Vanilla

What They Say: Our Madagascar Vanilla Styling Creme is a luscious blend of all natural oils that will provide healthy conditioning, softness & moisture to your naturally curly hair.  The BEST super rich moisturizing styling butter for natural twists, braids, locs and curls.

What I Say:  Absolutely LOVE it! It provides a soft hold, adds shine, makes hair super soft and it is very moisturizing.  I use this to style flat twists in Baby Girl S's hair after lightly spritzing the hair with a hair mist.  It gives great definition for twist outs.  The creme has a very think consistency, so a little goes a long way.  Although the picture above shows a creamy consistency, mine came as more of a solid.  Great sealer as well.  Sidenote:  It can also be us
ed on the skin, how awesome is that!

Product Review: Shea Moisture Curl & Milk

Shea Moisture Curl & Style Milk
Yes, another Shea Moisture Review :)

Cost: $9.99 (Target)
Size: 8 oz
Scent: Sweet like coconut

What They Say: Apply as a no-rinse protective styling cream to damped, towel-dried or dry hair as needed.  Detangles, conditions and controls curl, while restoring body and shine.

What I Say:  I love this stuff.  I first used it on dry hair and was amazed at how easy it was to detangle and style my daughter's hair, plus it left a nice shine on the hair.  I now use it as a leave in/moisturizer after washing and I also apply it as a base when the hair is dry before using a styling cream.  It is too light to be used in my daughter's hair as a styling cream.  It doesn't define the hair but it does an awesome job at moisturizing and assisting with getting tangles out.   This product has made its way to the hair regimen. Update: Although, I really enjoyed this product, I had to discontinue using because of the protein but I definitely recommend trying.

Ingredients: Nucifera (Coconut) Oil*, Isopropyl Myristate, Sugar Starch, Silk Protein, EssenQal Oil Blend, Melia Azadirachta (Neem) Seed Oil, Caprylyl glycol, Sorbitol Esters, Algae Extract, Hyssopus Officinalis Extract, Salvia Officinalis (Sage) Leaf and Equisetum Arvense Extract, Daucus Carota SaQva (Carrot) Seed Oil, Lonicera Caprifolium (Honeysuckle) Flower (and) Lonicera Japonica (Japanese Honeysuckle) Flower Extract, Tocopherol (Vitamin E).

Product Review: Shea Moisture Curling Souffle

Shea Moisture Curling Souffle

Cost: $9.99 (Target)
Size: 12 oz
Scent: Sweet (very pleasant)

What They Say: Our all natural Coconut Styling Souffle with Agave Nectar & Flax Seed Oil defines and promotes curls, with a soft, smooth after-feel.  Coconut and Flax Seed Oils nourish and hydrate hair, seal the hair shaft to protect against external pollutants and assist natural oil retention.  Our original natural humectant complex of Agave Nectar, Coconut Oil, Glycerin and Shea Butter moisturizes, conditions and boosts shine without frizz.

What I Say:  I used this product to two strand twist Baby Girl S's hair.  The curling souffle gave a good hold to the twists and it also moisturized the hair.  I applied on damp hair.  I read a lot of reviews that complain of the product being too greasy, well this is true but for my daughter's extremely dry hair, it wasn't an issue.  After wearing the style for a week, I did a twist-out and the hair was completely defined without any frizz.  A little goes a long way.  You may want clarify instead of co-washing after using this product due to the stickiness.

Ingredients: Aqueous Infusion of Agave Teqilana Leaf Extract and Sugar Cane Extract , Pectin , Vegetable Glycerin , Adansonia Digitata Pulp Extract (Baobab) , Cocos Nucifera Oil (Coconut) , Butyrospermum Parkii (Shea Butter) , Panthenol (Pro-Vitamin B-5) , Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract , Tocopherol (Vitamin E) , Linum Usitatissimum Seed Extract (Linseed/Flax) , Hibiscus Sabdariffa Extract , Potassium Sorbate , Proprietary Essential Oil Blend

**** I give this product a 4 out of 5 Baby Curls because I think its a bit sticky to but overall did what it said.
