This one is way pass!

Camille Rose Naturals Almond Jai Twisting Butter

Cost: $16.99 ( or (Target)
Size: 8 oz
Scent: Sweet & Pleasant (Cake)
Consistency: Thick, rich and creamy

What They Say:
Our botanical blend of oils and butters will aid in managing course/thick hair, leaving a soft and smoother feel. Softens and moisturizes hair while nourishing the scalp and stimulating growth.

What I Say:
I have been using this product on and off for over a year now (typical PJ) but this twisting butter is the and I have tried a lot of butters/creams, lol.  I have tried this product a couple different ways and found that I like it best on dry hair although it also works well on damp hair.  Unlike other twisting butters I have used, there is no need to spritz water to the hair first which is a BIG deal especially after stretching the hair.  The consistency of the product is very light and goes on very smooth and even helps detangle the hair.  It is packed with oils and penetrates the hair very nicely, leaving the hair very moisturized and supple! This twisting butter doesn't give any hold but that's not an issue for us.  It is an excellent twisting butter and I definitely recommend trying it, it can also be used as a leave-in.  The bonus for me: you can get this on the ground at Target!

Deionized water, behentrimonium methosulfate (BTMS)cetearyl alcohol, prunus dulcis(almond milk), prunusdulcis (almond)oil, cucurbita pepo(pumpkin)seed oil, sesamum indicum (sesame) seed oil, simmondsia chinensis(jojoba) seed oil, oryza sativa (rice)bran oil, macadamia ternifolia (macadamia nut)seed oil, olea europaea (olive)fruit oil, cannabis sativa (hemp) seed oil, ulmus fulva bark extract (slippery elm), ricinus communis(castor)seed oil, aloe barbadensis(aloe)leaf juice< honey, camellia sinensis(green tea)leaf extract, phenoxyethanol/caprylyl glycol(optiphen). sorbic acid, scent and LOVE!

*I am super behind on product there will be more product reviews following this one! *

Curl Junkie Repair Me!  Reconstructive Hair Treatment

Size: 8 oz
Scent: Light Tropical Coconut Scent
Consistency: Rich and creamy

What They Say:
Repair Me!(tm) is our most repairing treatment yet! Does your hair need a major dose of protein? Excellent for chemically damaged, weak and brittle hair. Helps fill in cracks in the hair shaft to help give strength and prevent further breakage. Also great for general maintenance of the hair. Makes a great once a month treatment to help keep your hair in top shape!

What I Say:
This product is certainly on the expensive end but well WORTH IT (good thing I only use it once a month)!  I have been using this product since last December and I must say I absolutely LOVE it!  Its the best protein treatment I've ever used, this really makes your curls pop.  I consider this to be a heavy protein treatment since Hydrolyzed Keratin Protein is the 3rd ingredient.  Surprisingly, it works amazingly well on BG "S" hair who have had her share of issues with proteins.  This treatment detangles, adds moisture & softness to the hair all while strengthening. The hair actually feels much stronger after one use.  It works almost instantly and doesn't need to be left on long at all.  It provides a great balance of protein and moisture.  The best thing about this protein treatment is that you don't need to follow up with a moisturizing conditioner!  This product is definitely a new HG!  If you're willing to splurge a little, definitely give it a try!

Water, Cetearyl Alcohol, Behentrimonium Methosulfate, Hydrolyzed Keratin Protein, Helianthus Annuus (Sunflower) Seed Oil, Panthenol, Keratin Amino Acids, Hydrolyzed Yeast, Glyceryl Stearate, Simmondsia Chinensis (Jojoba) Seed Oil, Glycol Stearate, Prunus Armeniaca (Apricot) Kernel Oil, Cetyl Alcohol, PEG-100 Stearate, Tocopherol Acetate, Citric Acid, Disodium EDTA, Fragrance, Propylene Glycol, Diazolidinyl Urea, Iodopropynyl Butylcarbamate.

PSA: Target is a DANGER Zone!!!

I decided to take a trip to Target today to visit the hair aisle of course ^_^ and to my surprise I found (3) "new" brands that Target is now carrying...hence the title "DANGER Zone".  Target is now carrying Oyin Handmade, Carol's Daughter and Alikay Naturals Products...say what?!!  Yes that's the same thing I said, well if you don't believe me here are a few snapshots.  Of course I have tried something from all (3) brands, but the fact that its in my local Target is a BIG DEAL!!!  The shelves are a bit empty but I believe there were stocking up.  What's not to love about Target?

Oyin Handmade

Carol's Daughter

Alikay Naturals

Are these brands carried in your local Target?

Faux Mo-Hawk and Simple Twists (Quick Styles on Children)

Two weekends ago I had to do (3) heads...thats right 3!!  I did my youngest's hair on that Friday and my oldest daughter and niece on Sunday.  We had a birthday dinner to attend on Saturday, so I just threw the oldest girls hair in ponytails since it had to be washed, not to mention they are (9) and (7 soon to be 8) where their hair is a big deal.  Since I had to wash their hair on Sunday night, I opted to do something quick and cute on both.

Here is a picture of "the girls" on Saturday (the night of our outing).  BG "S"  hair was styled in loose two-strand twists that were braided about an 1/2 inch first.  Unfortunately, I don't have any close-up shots of her hair.  The two oldest like I stated before have high ponytails w/ twists and a twist-out.
